Our Key Stage two sword fencing days are one of our most popular workshops and offer a great way to enthuse pupils about this unique sport in a fun and safe manner.

With over 10 years of coaching experience and safe plastic equipment, each class receives an hour of quality coaching with a medal awarded to the best sword fencer of the lesson, with the best fencer over the course of the day receiving a "champion fencer' trophy to keep.

"What an invigorating session! It has been great to have such an engaging sport in school that allows both boys and girls to start on the same footing and succeed equally."

S Robb, Y3 teacher, Manchester

Each session comprises of a short introduction to the sport in a series of warm up games, followed by yet more games as the pupils' skills develop.  By the end of the session, pupils will know how to stand en garde, how to attack correctly, how to defend correctly and also one or two fancy moves to keep their opponent on their toes.

This workshop is perfect for boys and girls alike (in fact girls often win the medals) and can be played indoors or outdoors so long as the weather is permitting.
